A ccording to Assodel - Lighting Group (the Italian 
association of Electronics Suppliers dealing with the 

SSL supply chain), in 2013, the italian LEDs market grew over 
expectations. 

A booming second half of 2013 

In Chart 1 it is possible to have an overlook of the situation: 
the results of the second half of 2013 overpassed by +2% 
those of the irst half (1H 2013). Also the tendential index – 

which compares 2H 2013 with 2H 2012 – showed an extremely 
positive value: +34,2%. In particular, white LEDs, which 
represent the 85% of the market, grew of 33,3% on the 
previous year. Complessively, in the last 2 years the market 

increased by 32%.
